Annotation This collection from the November 2000 workshop reviews the state of the art in observatory site testing methods and instruments across the entire ground-based optical, infrared, and (sub)mm wavelength ranges. The 72 papers investigate the physical mechanisms of atmospheric turbulence, measuring instruments in the visible range, site characterization and atmospheric transparency in the (sub)mm range, tropospheric phase stability, forecasting, site surveys, astroclimatic stations, and phase correction.
